OUTREACH is the process of informing the Public what is happening to our Kangaroos, their habitat and their Rescuers & Carers.
OUTREACH involves taking flyers, banners, posters and displays to public areas
and talking to people about what is happening to kangaroos and what we, the public, can do about it.
Outreach locations can be general or targeted.
General locations are whereever the general public is found and can be Town centres, Parks, Lookouts and Stations.
Targeted locations are whereever the specific audience is found and can be Theatres, businesses or Schools.
Outreach for BLUE MOUNTAINS WORLD KANGAROO DAY (BMWKD) EVENTS has two aims...
...to encourage attendence at one or all of the organised BMWKD Events,
...to inform those who can not attend about the challenges facing Kangaroos and their Rescuers & Carers.
We aim for OUTREACH to eventually extend all around the rim of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
